A young dedicated performer has rejuvenated the traditional Bangla folk art, Clasical, Rabidra Sangeet, kirtan, performing in commercial stages, mesmerising crowds wherever she performs. At a young age, Aditi Munshi is the leader of the revival in the traditional divine melodies of Kirtan. Kirtan is a profound traditional form of narrating, reciting, describing and story telling. With roots in Vedic traditions, Kirtan is a “call and response” style of song or chant set to music. The singer describes a legend, expresses devotion to a deity or spiritual ideas. In doing so from the heart, Aditi connects with her audience and transports them to a higher level of emotional and spiritual connection.
